Sore leg

So, is it possible to learn to spin with either leg? to treadle? means you have to sit a little awkwardly but boy do I have one sore leg, it does happen to be the one with the already dodgy knee, which doesn't help matters. Not that it is going to stop me at this point, whats a little pain!

So the two bobbins became this

which looks like this, all washed and pretty

and which knits up to look like this, and is all soft and fluffy, 5.5st and 7 rows per inch on 3.75mm.

So all I need now is a niddy noddy and more fibre...

I was going to sew today, my dress is all cut and ready but have been invited to lunch instead, choices, choices, I am off to lunch....

NAtural born spinner ;0)
Some people I know that have a single treadle treadle with both feet on the treadle if there is room.

Is there no end to your talents missus ? Lovely yarn :0)

Spinning through the pain clearly falls into the same category as wearing fab shoes despite the fact that they kill your feet. Why do we do these things ???

Yes, you can treadle an S10 with either foot, or both. You can try drafting with the other hand as well, or a different chair, or finding something to sit the other foot on etc etc. It`s a matter of changing the body alignment till you find what`s comfy. Remember not to crouch over the orifice and sit back to keep your spine staight.

Love the dress, btw. I can sew (used to run a branch of Remnant Kings!) but not much lately.

Congratulations on the new obsession, er I mean, "hobby."

I have a double treadle wheel that seems to help with the leg problems. The real problem is too much of anything isn't good for you, but who can stop??? :-)
